7 Days of Healthy Habits
Holiday seasons are approaching quickly. We want to reamin healthy or start something that's just might help us sustain healthy habits.
I have gone through the Steve Covey training for The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. This was very eye opening and helpful for me. It came at a very important time in my life. I was going through some struggles and was trying to figure out what my next moves were going to be. Going through this training, I realized that there are solutions to how to overcome.
This training was to help people become more efficient with time management and and relationships. If you look at the chart it explains time management, and the highlighted section is where most of our time should be spent. That's when I realized that I could apply these same concepts to other parts of my life. One in particular, managing my diet and exercise. That's when my light bulb went off! I have to share with others what I learned and maybe they to can may changes to possiibly help improve diet and exercise. So, I made some modifications to the chart and have been using this concept every since.
Here's how it goes: Plan out healthy meals for each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks). Write the meals under each heading on the handout. Purchase those items and prepare the meals that you can take to work for lunch and dinners for the week on Sunday (basically meal prep). Store meals in an air tight containers. Have breakfast items readily available so that you can have easy access and save time in the morning.
